CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — U.S. Xpress Enterprises has promoted Ray Harlin to president of the company, succeeding Patrick Quinn, the company’s co-founder, who passed away last December.
Harlin joined U.S. Xpress in 1997 as an executive vice president and the company’s chief financial officer. In addition to his duties as president of U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Harlin will continue in his position as the company’s CFO.
“Ray Harlin has played an important role in the growth and development of U.S. Xpress Enterprises over the past 15 years. Ray has a proven track record as an effective leader, and we believe he will excel in his new position with the company,” said U.S. Xpress Chairman and CEO Max Fuller.
Lisa Pate, daughter of Patrick Quinn, and executive vice president and general counsel for U.S. Xpress Enterprises, added, “Ray is a great choice to serve as president of U.S. Xpress Enterprises, and the Quinn family is looking forward to supporting Ray in his new position.”
Prior to becoming part of the U.S. Xpress executive management team, Harlin held numerous managerial and leadership positions during more than 20 years with Arthur Andersen LLP, highlighted by his tenure as managing partner for Anderson’s Chattanooga office.
“I am honored that the Fuller and Quinn families have chosen me for this position with the company. I am proud to be part of the U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Inc. family of companies,” said Harlin.
